Just had an interesting experience on my flight from London to Boston. The AA flight (Boeing 777) was taking-off from the airport. Suddenly a quite large bang was heard outside and the plane came to an abrupt halt and turned off the take-off runway. The captain came on and said "our right engine failed at 90 knots during take-off". The result was a crowd of rescue vehicles driving towards our plane lights blinking, sirens and all... Interesting experience! Of course we had to de-embark and change planes. Luckily it happened on the runway and not in the air. :)
